Summer's Almost Here

Summer vacation is fast approaching and it will be nice to say goodbye to this semester. I've been busier than usual with major class projects. Seeing as it gets SO outrageously HOT here in Arizona, the summer isn't as exciting as in other parts of the country. During the summer months you don't go out to get the mail without a canteen and a spotter.

"I'm going to get the mail. If I'm not back in ten minutes, call the paramedics and save yourself!"

Because we belong to so many different web sites for whatever reason, and you of course have to log in to each one, you end up having so many accounts for so many different sites. In order to keep them all straight in your mind, often we use the same login and password for everything. Literally everything!

Basically if you crack the code to say, my blog, you have also cracked the code to my Twitter profile, my email, my bank account! ... Hey look, the hit counter for my blog is going up! Yay!

The internet allows people to make online personas of anything they want. There is no verification process, which allows anyone to post anything about themselves and it doesn't have to be in any way factual at all! I find this disturbing, I have no idea who I can trust or what to believe about people's online profiles.
For all you know, this blog could be written by a fictional character!

Did you ever have to keep a journal for a school assignment? They called it a "journal" because there's probably laws against forcing a boy to keep a diary. But a school assignment where you're supposed to keep a blog is pretty much the same thing. It's always interesting to go back and read some of those diary journal entries that you wrote when you were younger. Prattlings so full of hope, promise, and grievous spellling errors.

Being an art student, my journal entries always came with doodles. Of course my drawings made their way on to all manner of surfaces: homework, the desk, the neck of the guy that sat in front of me...

What is "Blog?"

One of our school assignments is to keep a 'blog online. This is perfect timing as I've already got a few 'blog entries up and running. So technically, right now, I'm actually blogging AND doing homework. That's called multi-tasking.

But what really is a 'blog? I ask you, if B.L.O.G were an acronym, what would it stand for?

Retro Retrofit

I'm glad to see Dave finally got going on the website retrofit. And it really is a "retro" retrofit too, I mean look at that white background with the light colored polka dots. Very chic. I suggested he add berber carpet, but the money just isn't there.

But now the site looks way better, and the original strips are being uploaded. Once all those are uploaded, actual new comics will appear! I'm so excited to be acting again. I've looked at some of the scripts and can't wait to pick up season 4 where we left off. Although, and maybe it's just me, but some of the scripts make my character out to be, well ... kinda stupid. Anyone else noticed that? Eh, probably just my imagination.

My first blog, wow. Here I can ramble on and on about whatever and not feel the pressure of it all needing to fit in three little squares!
